Case Study: Western Craft Contracting
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Western Craft Contracting for many years now, it has been their vision and execution that has brought to light some of the most stunning homes I’ve had the pleasure of shooting! Tucked away on a private acreage, with expansive views across the Strait of Georgia, this particular project is no exception. Despite its massive scale even the smallest details were carefully thought out and executed to perfection, a story told through complimentary images to highlight the more meticulous efforts and carefully curated textures.
“It is always a pleasure working with Dolf. He has an ability to capture the essence of our projects and the finished product is amazing quality.”
– Cinamon Bryant, Owner, Western Craft Contracting
With floor to ceiling windows and west-facing exposure the interior of this home absolutely comes alive in the evening light; it’s truly an awe-inspiring setting to watch the sun set over Vancouver Island in the distant horizon! In order to showcase this element we captured the property over multiple days so that we had the time to eternalize these magical evening hours from different perspectives, shooting both photo and video inside and out. One of my favourite take-aways was the interior timelapses, which allow viewers to see how the light moves throughout this beautifully crafted home.

SOCIAL CONTENT
Modern day social media platforms are content hungry machines!! Although this is not usually the sole focus of my projects all the imagery I create can all be utilized in a variety of manners. Still images can be posted onto social channels as-is, cropped, or combined in order to tell a story. Sharing these moments in time allows viewers to feel a connection to your business and adds a level of professionalism to your page. When it comes to video all my equipment records in at least 4K resolution, which allows for a vertical HD crop that doesn’t negatively impact upload resolution. This means the same great footage that may have been shot to live horizontally on a website’s landing page can also be repurposed to thrive on today’s most popular social platforms!
